The Squads for the finals are shown below. The “Balance of Power” rule means that teams can field players up to a maximum of 60 points which are awarded according to world rankings. Each team of four must also contain at least two German players.

“All teams have sent their line-ups and we are expecting some of the top 20 players in the world again. The organization is a bit strange without our own team at the start,” said Michael Mühlbacher, owner of Turnhalle.

“Culinary delights await us on Thursday and Friday with a pizza buffet and on Saturday after the award ceremony the tried and tested large barbecue buffet.

“For the first time, a new sponsor will be present, which could possibly also ensure a return to the Bundesliga. Limited tickets for all days are still available for €39 per day.”

Note : The August dates are due to the non-availability of hotels in June die to the Euro 2024 Football.

Bundesliga 2023/24 Season Summary

For the 6th season in a row it was Paderborn and Worms who finished top of the North and South divisions.

In the seven-team North Division Paderborn got off to a slow start, drawing three of their first four matches – including a countback loss at home to Bremer – but recovered to record seven wins and one winning draw – away to Bremer – to complete the season on 8 wins and 4 draws for 31 points.

Bremer won 9 matches and shared those two draws with Paderborn, but a loss at Hamburg in the second half cost them dearly as they finished a single point behind Paderborn on 30. Hamburg finished in third place on 4 wins, 6 draws and 2 defeats, earning 21 points and a place in the playoffs.

“Paderborner SC’s goal is clearly to win the German team championship,” said Captain Simon Rosner. As we saw last year, that’s not a sure thing. The other teams aren’t sleeping and they all want to win too! So it will be exciting to see who awaits us in the semi-finals. We expect tough games, we’ll look from game to game and not too far ahead. The next game is always the most important. We’re trying to bring the title back to Paderborn!”

The South Division had six teams and was more straightforward, Worms finishing comfortably top with 6 wins and 4 winning draws for a 26 point tally.

Karlsruhe and Stuttgart took second and third spots on 21 and 18 points.

“We obviously want to defend our title this year, although this will certainly be difficult,” said Worms’ Jens Schoor. “All the teams that have qualified for the finals have good teams. It will certainly be interesting to see who will prevail in the end after close and exciting games. We are looking forward to this year’s finals again in Krefeld at Mücke!”
